With the end of the second day of high school exams in Arabic schools, the hashtag “#The_Arabic_Impossible_Test” topped the list of most popular hashtags on the X platform in Qatar, with tweeters expressing their concern about the difficulty of the questions that students faced during the exam, especially in the reading section, Al Sharq has reported.

Criticism was particularly directed at literary texts that were difficult to understand, leaving some students feeling confused. One said: “The text was too complicated for 18-year-olds, as if we were studying with Al-Mutanabbi.”

Some also complained about questions that they considered vague, such as a multiple choice question that they did not understand. Students demanded that the difficulty of the questions be considered during evaluation of the answer sheets, taking into account the students’ level, the report adds.

The students called on the Ministry of Education to reconsider the criteria of the test and distribute grades more fairly, pointing out the need to take into account the difficulties they faced in the test.
