Cold weather likely to subside as Al Balda star appears

Doha: Yesterday marked the first night of the Al Balda star, which indicates a decrease in cold weather in the country as the star ascends. Al Balda star is the final star of the Shoubt season and is expected to last 13 days, Qatar Meteorology Department has said. As the star rises, wind direction changes from the current northwesterly towards the south, which helps reduce coldness.
