Fast tracks: Doha Metro records 200 million in ridership

Network enjoys an overall customer satisfaction rate of an astounding 99.75%

Qatar Rail has an­nounced that Doha­Metro recorded 200 million in ridership since its launch, achieving a significant milestone in its growth.

“Achieving this operational milestone confirms the grow­ing confidence of Qatar’s resi­dents and visitors in the metro services over more than five years and the key role it has played in the Qatar’s public transport system as an ef­ficient and reliable mobility solution,” Qatar Rail said on social media.

Doha Metro has an advanced network of 37 stations across three lines: Red, Gold, and Green.

Interestingly, Doha Metro also achieved 99.82% regular­ity, punctuality and availabil­ity in services. The overall customer satisfaction rate was an astounding 99.75%, Qatar Rail said.

The total incident frequency rate is just 0.01, reflecting the adherence to the highest global safety standards.

Also, more than 20 major sports events have been served by metro.
