Forbes names World Cup opening ceremonystar Ghanem Al Muftah among mostinfluential celebrities under 30

Forbes has included Qatari activist Ghanem Al Muftah in the list of the most influential young Arab celebrities under the age of 30 on Instagram for the year 2024, Al Sharq reports.
“Ghanim Al-Muftah. Al-Muftah is a motivational speaker and partakes in sports like scuba diving, skateboarding, and rock climbing. He appeared alongside Morgan Freeman during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and became a FIFA ambassador in January 2024,” Forbes said in its report.
Al Muftah said via his Instagram account: “I am honoured to be included in the Forbes Under 30 2024 list in the field of diversity and inclusion.”
He added: “This honour is very important to me, as it reflects my commitment to promoting inclusivity, empowering youth, and inspiring others to embrace the values of compassion and social responsibility. My journey has been shaped by the support and love of my family, friends, and community, and I share this achievement with all of you.”
Twenty two-year-old Al Muftah has.3 million followers on social media.
He thanked Forbes for celebrating young changemakers and amplifying their voices. “This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to continue this journey to make a positive impact,” he added.
“In September 2024, Al Muftah delivered a speech at the Summit of the Future 2024 in New York. Al-Muftah graduated in Political Science with honors in July 2024. He is committed to humanitarian activities and societal development. He dedicates significant time and effort to advocating for inclusion, supporting underprivileged communities, and raising awareness about the importance of compassion and social responsibility,” Forbes said.
