Trampling on grass in public spaces an illegal act: Ministry

Qatar’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has emphasized that it is the collective duty of citizens and residents to protect Qatar’s unique ecosystem and released a video highlighting the importance of preserving the nation’s natural resources.

“Trampling on the garden is an illegal act that exposes the soil and wild plants to great damage that is difficult to avoid later,” the MoECC stated in the video.

The ministry emphasized that each person’s actions directly impact Qatar’s environmental health and urged all residents to remain constantly aware of their behaviour in natural spaces to prevent irre-versible damage to flora and soil.
